Amateur racing Moto #1 is on Friday and Moto #2 will be on Sunday. All amateur racing takes place on U-2, our amateur track built with amateur racing in mind. U-2 allows us to keep you racing and not have to shut racing down early to get ready for the pros the next day. You must be present both days. All pro racing is on Saturday.

PLEASE NOTE NEW AMA RULE FOR 2017…YOU MUST BE 14 YEARS OLD OR OLDER TO RACE A 250cc BIKE; 16 YEARS OLD OR OLDER TO RACE A 450cc BIKE.

REQUIREMENTS

  • FULL YEAR OR ONE EVENT AMA MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
  • One event, full year and youth membership is available at the track.
  • Family pack membership only available in advance
  • Full year and youth memberships are available in advance or at the track
  • You may be required to verify novice class eligibility. A race receipt, race results sheet, or a membership card would satisfy.
  • All racers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent. If a parent will not be in attendance, then a notarized permission slip is absolutely required. Even if a sibling 18 years or older is the responsible party, a notarized permission slip is still required. THE AMA COMPETITION MEMBERSHIP CARD AND RELEASE WILL NOT OVERRIDE THIS REQUIREMENT.

Notarized signature and seal

A notary public can be found at your bank, local government offices, local public schools, and in many places of business. The permission slip MUST be notarized. We recommend a second notarized slip stating that the responsible party can make medical decisions for the minor should that be necessary.

ENTRY INFORMATION

  • One moto per day
  • Entry fee covers both days
  • In rare cases, select classes may run both motos on Friday.

PRE-ENTRY:

  • PRE-ENTRY IS NOW OPEN THROUGH SUNDAY, AUGUST 6TH AT 11:00 PM EST. ALL CLASSES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE DURING POST ENTRY AT THE TRACK ON THURSDAY/FRIDAY MORNING DURING REGISTRATION HOURS.
  • Highly recommended and cheaper; plus you will receive a $15 Rocky Mountain ATV MC gift card in the mail upon the conclusion of the event!
  • Pre-entered riders check-in at the registration area Thursday 12 noon-9pm or Friday 6:30-9:00am
  • Pre-Entry closes on August 6, 2017 at 11:00pm EST
  • If you pre-enter and need to cancel your entry, we will refund your entry fee only if you notify us by August 6th that you are unable to participate. Pre-entered no-shows will not be refunded.

POST-ENTRY:

  • Thursday 12 noon-9pm and Friday morning 6:30-9am (practice begins at 8am)
  • If you arrive before 9pm Thursday, we strongly encourage you to register Thursday
  • Racers who post enter will receive a $10 Rocky Mountain ATV MC gift card by mail upon event completion.

PRE-ENTRY TIP:

The pre-entry form has slightly changed from last year to make it quicker and easier at registration. Once you go to the event pre-registration page, you will be asked for your AMA membership number- see letter “A” below. If you do NOT have a current AMA/ATVA card, you then have two choices: go on-line and buy one (letter “B” below shows the link you will click) or if you are buying a day pass at the track or wish to wait to buy the full year membership, you will click where you see the letter “C” demonstrated below. GOOD NEWS FOR RACERS

The 2017 Amateur Classic is enrolled in the Rocky Mountain ATV MX gift card program. Racers who pre-enter this event will receive a $15 Rocky Mountain gift card by mail upon conclusion of the event. Those who post-enter will receive a $10 Rocky Mountain gift card by mail upon conclusion of the event. If you race both days, you are eligible for two cards. Cards are limited to one per racer per day. The gift card amount will be awarded at the pre-entry or post-entry amount but not both. The higher value will rule!

ARRIVAL

NEW YORK STATE REGULATIONS NO LONGER ALLOW FOR EARLY ARRIVALS. OUR GATES WILL OPEN AT NOON ON THURSDAY. DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER AS THERE WILL BE NO PLACE FOR YOU TO PARK. PULLING OVER ON ROUTE 8 PUTS YOU AND OTHERS IN DANGER. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

 

  • Watch for entry signs upon arrival. Alternate gates will be used.
  • All vehicles will be subject to search any time, including re-entry.
  • Fire lanes on the amateur campground are a requirement. We will park you upon arrival. If you want to park with someone in another vehicle, you must arrive together. No spots can be held.
  • For over 10 years, we have not offered spectator camping. Your family and crew need to be in attendance by the start of racing on Friday.
  • NO PIT VEHICLES – VEHICLES WILL BE SEARCHED PRIOR TO ENTRY. THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED THROUGH THE GATE.
  • NO VENDING IS ALLOWED AT ANY TIME – IF YOU DON’T HAVE PERMISSION TO SELL IT, LEAVE IT HOME!
  • ONLY DOGS 20 POUNDS AND UNDER ARE ALLOWED ON PRO MX WEEKEND

PIT VEHICLES

  • Due to the size of this event, we do not allow pit vehicles unless you meet the condition below. A shuttle will be running from the front of the facility to the back area on Friday.
  • Handicapped permits for those with a state issued DMV handicapped vehicle tag can be arranged up to one week in advance or after at registration. State DMV tag must be shown prior to receiving permit. Handicapped permit only valid for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Only state issued DMV handicapped permits will be issued a pit vehicle exception permit.

GENERAL ADMISSION

No personal checks will be accepted at the gate or registration.

  • Tickets are always available at the gate with NO sell outs.
  • Children under 5 free if accompanied by an adult
  • For those racers who intend to qualify for the pro event or support personnel who intend to serve as a crew member for the pro event, all admission fees apply if you attend the amateur event. Will call does not open until Friday late morning. Unless you have passes in hand, NO refunds will be given or “discounts” applied if you have passes waiting at will-call.
  • All racers, family members, crew pay gate fees
  • General admission tickets are always available at the gate, no sell-outs.
  • All crew members must arrive prior to the start of racing on Friday. No spectator camping is available.
  • The only one day admission ticket that is available is for Saturday or Sunday admission. If you arrive on Friday, you will be charged the corresponding weekend ticket price.

*OVERNIGHT PARKING FEE: $50 per vehicle for the entire weekend (A vehicle may have a trailer in tow.); extra vehicles (car or truck with nothing in tow) $20 per vehicle for the entire weekend. All extra vehicles will be parked in the reserved lot. Make sure you pack everything you need in your camper as extra vehicles will not be allowed in the amateur pit. If you have an extra vehicle and you want to park it in the amateur pits, you will be charged $50 for that vehicle.


PRO PIT PASSES

$20 – $50 per person

All those entering the pits must sign the insurance release. Any minor under 18 must be accompanied in the pits by a parent/guardian.

Riders and teams determine the amount of time each racer will be available for autographs. We cannot guarantee the availability of any particular racer.

Guests in the pits are expected to act accordingly. Please do not pester riders and teams for racing gear.

LIMITED ACCESS PIT: $20

  • These passes do not sell out
  • $20 per person ages 6 and older
  • Does NOT include gate admission
  • Pit access is for Saturday from 9am-noon. You must exit the pits at noon.
  • Passes may be picked up or purchased starting at 7:30am on Saturday at the event center.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


ALCOHOL POLICY

  • No glass containers of any kind are allowed
  • No mini-kegs or kegs
  • All alcohol must be consumed at your campsite.
  • State law will be followed- you must be 21 or older
  • Alcohol is limited to a six pack per night per person
  • No alcohol allowed upon vehicle re-entry
  • No open containers on the grounds…alcohol must be consumed solely are your campsite
  • We reserve the right to alter this policy at any time as conditions warrant

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Wristbands must be worn at all times and are required at registration
  • No open alcohol is allowed away from your campsite
  • 11pm curfew-all must be at their campsites; no wandering around
  • All generators must be turned off at 12 midnight
  • Gates close at 12 midnight nightly. You can exit/re-enter prior to midnight with wristband
  • Parents of minors are responsible for the behavior of their child(ren) and are expected to know their whereabouts at all times.
  • For over 10 years we have not offered spectator camping. Once racing begins on Friday, your family or crew needs to be in attendance.
  • The only one day admission ticket that covers amateur racing is on Sunday. If you have relatives who want to watch you or your child race, they will need to pay for a full weekend ticket if they arrive prior to Sunday.

RULES / RESTRICTIONS

We reserve the right to ask those in violation of the above restrictions to leave the premises with no refund given.

  • Dogs 20 pounds and under are allowed with amateur racers but must stay in your motorhome/camper at all times. Bathroom breaks must be kept to your pit area and the dog must be on a leash. You must clean up after your dog. Dogs cannot be walked around the general amateur pit area; your pit area only. Please do not bring your dog if you do not have a way to keep your camper cool. Exceptions made for ADA defined SERVICE DOGS, which must be clearly marked as such at all times.
  • NO Pit Vehicles-Vehicles will be searched upon entry
  • NO open fires
  • NO Fireworks
  • NO vending without prior approval-if you don’t have permission to sell it, leave it home
  • NO scaffolding
  • NO alcohol trackside
  • NO glass containers
  • NO bicycle riding trackside
  • NO spectator camping
  • NO personal checks
  • NO easy-ups which obstruct viewing
  • NO remote controlled aircraft (ie:drones)
  • ALL campers should have fire extinguishers
  • ALL gasoline must be stored in an enclosed vehicle in approved container(s)
